New Year, New Accomplishments

The Bean had special plans for New Year's morning. She had been invited by Liana and Daria to their parents' annual New Year's Day pajama brunch. This year, there was a farm theme, so the Bean wore her new pig-jamas.



Initially, she was a bit sheepish around Liana and Daria's BoPa...but she had a great time with Mom and Daria...



And with Dad, Daria, Liana and Juliet.



However by far the most memorable part of the day for the Bean started when she found Liana's old walker. At first she was a bit wobbly, but within half an hour she had completely mastered it, and was immensely pleased with herself.



Once she had figured the walker out, the Bean was glued to it until it was time to go. She had found a new perspective on the world, and it was a thrill.



The Bean spent the rest of the long weekend at the lake house, exploring new ways to have fun on very cold days. She visited the library...



Did some shopping at Target...



And took her first spin in a shopping cart.



It is a new year, and the Bean is off to quite a start!
