Adieu, Jacques

Earlier today, there was a tragic moment in Central Park. Walking with Mom and the Bean, Jacques the Peacock quietly slipped off the strap on the diaper bag. By the time Mom noticed, Jacques was nowhere to be found.

Jacques has been a great companion for the Bean, keeping an eye on her both at home and on the road. He would sit quietly, watching her in her stroller or her chair at home, or squeak loudly when his wing was squeezed just right.

One can only imagine how a small, felted bird is getting along on his own in Central Park, but we wish him the best. Hopefully they taught him how to avoid hawks at the factory. If you happen to see him wandering the park please let the Bean know.
