The Bean spent her first Fourth of July weekend by at the lakehouse, with a special visitor for the weekend--Mormor! Even though she was out of the city, however, the Bean still spent some quality time at her favorite urban activity--watching traffic:
On the morning of the Fourth, the Bean watched the parade through the center of town.
She had a chance to meet up with her friend Graham at the parade:
After the parade, everybody headed to the lake to watch the water ski show:
Later in the day, Graham invited the Bean over to his house for a barbeque:
By the time the fireworks show started that night, the Bean was a tired little girl:
On her way back to the city, the Bean made a brief stop at Sweden-on-the-Hudson--IKEA! She had a very important purchase to consider--her first high chair. She ultimately decided on the Antilop, in red:
She's been making good use of it...first as an observer at the table:
And more recently as an eater! Her first attempt at rice cereal:
Her second attempt, tonight:
In her spare time, the Bean has had time to visit Brooklyn (She recommends the Brooklyn Flea in Fort Greene):

All in all, she's one happy Bean these days:
