Bean on the Go

The Bean has had an active start to her seventh month.

She is now completely comfortable sitting on her own, and quite proud of her skills.



Not having to focus so much on her sitting has allowed the Bean to catch up on her reading:



Of course, it's also a lot of fun to read while lying down:



She has also mastered the repeated quick roll, giving her the ability to explore previously unseen places like the underside of the coffee table at the lakehouse.



Although she's not quite crawling, that's pretty clearly on the agenda.



The Bean is also eating a lot more, and she's getting ready to take control of the process.



Sometimes she even manages to hold the bottle so that she can actually drink from it!

As for foods other than milk...they are fun to look at and play with...



but not yet very interesting to eat.



But on the whole, she's a very happy Bean.



Yesterday, the Bean headed out for a big adventure. She had invited her friends Daria and Liana to join her for a trip to the New Jersey state fair. First, everyone stopped for lunch.



Then it was off to look at the animals! There were Elephant rides, but the Bean was busy with other activities.

After waking from her nap, the Bean was intrigued by the bunnies on display.



All this activity and excitement resulted in one tired little Bean. So tired she fell asleep in what appears to be the most awkward sleeping position ever.



But with a little rearranging assistance from Dad, she drifted off for a long night's sleep.
