Hallow-Bean

The Bean celebrated her first Halloween last weekend, and it was quite an event! On Friday afternoon, her school held a parade for all of the kids. The Bean was attired as a Tootsie Roll (special thanks to Ashley!):



For the parade, at first she joined her classmates (Superman, Monkey, Sheep, Pumpkin and the others) in the buggy:





Pretty soon, however, she decided she'd rather ride with Mormor, who had come to see the event:



After the parade, everyone headed back to the classroom to celebrate.



It was a great time for the whole family.



On Saturday, the Bean spent part of Halloween at the lake house. It was a beautiful fall day...



And a great day for a trip to the diner.



On Saturday evening, the Bean tried on her costume one more time to greet the trick-or-treaters in the building...



But decided she'd had enough of it before going to the party in the building's community room.



On Sunday, finally out of costume for good, the Bean watched the New York marathon...and got started on her training regimen.



She also had a chance to meet up with her friend Vivian to watch and cheer on the runners in Central Park.



It was a very sweet weekend.
