Hiatus...over!

The Bean would like to apologize, on behalf of Mom and Dad, for their tardiness in updating the blog for the last two weeks. It has been busy, with lots of adjustments for everyone. There's a lot to catch up on!

After returning from Sweden, Mom and the Bean had a lovely last ten days together before Mom's return to work. The Bean also had more visitors!

Dave visited from San Francisco, and brought Norm along with him when he came to meet the Bean.

(It is left to the reader to determine whose parts in the photo above are played by each of Ted Danson, Tom Selleck and Steve Guttenberg)

Ashley also arrived in town, and she was quite a hit with the Bean, who couldn't get enough of touching or looking at her.

The Bean also got to meet Helen, who may win the award for furthest distance traveled to see her. Hopefully John and Ray will come along next time too, because the Bean isn't sure when she'll next be in China!

In her spare time, the Bean spent a relaxing weekend at the lake with Mom and Dad, and a good lunch at an old-time New Jersey drive-in diner.

More recently, Mom has returned to work. Fortunately, everyone is doing well with the new arrangement. The Bean has taken the change in stride, and is enjoying her days, even if Mom isn't around. And that has made Mom's adjustment much easier. And that has made Dad much more calm. All in all, good for everyone.

On Sunday, Dad celebrated his first Father's Day. The Bean decided to put on a performance, displaying the belly skills she has been working extra hard on lately. She almost seemed like she was ready to crawl. That will have to wait a bit longer...but not much!

We missed you - welcome back. Good job making mom's transition to work a smooth one. xoxo
